There are also some options that allow you to earn an MBA with a concentration in accounting, which might also fit your career plans. An online Master’s degree in accounting or an MBA with an accounting concentration can be earned in 15 to 24 months of study. You can choose between online universities and some traditional, on-campus institutions, which now also offer an online Master’s degree in accounting. A major factor in your decision of which school to choose will depend on your current career path and future professional plans. Are you going to pursue a long-term career in public accounting (in which case you’ll also need to earn a CPA certification), private industry management or government/non-profit senior officer-level service?
